	<title>TANGLANG QUAN SHE (Mantis Boxing Society) 螳螂拳社</title>

	<p>The Australian Mantis Boxing Society was formed in April 1996 in the A.C.T. The Society was modeled on the original Mantis Boxing Society which was formed in <thing>Shanghai</thing>, China in February 1933 with 80 founding members. The aim of the Society is the propagation and uplifting of traditional <thing>Tanglang Quan</thing> both in Australia and internationally, through research, training, competition and public demonstration. <b><thing>Wang Xiaohua</thing></b> is the founder and Honourary Chairman, Brendan Tunks is the current President and Head Coach. <b><thing>Hoa Tran</thing></b> is the Treasurer. The Society is represented in Melbourne, Victoria by <thing>Nang Ho</thing>, Sydney, New South Wales by David Cuthbert and Bangkok, Thailand by Adem Yilmaz. </p>
	<p>The society has international members and is represented in China and affiliated with <thing>Shandong</thing> and <thing>Qingdao Wushu</thing> associations. The Australian <thing>Tanglang Quan She</thing> considers the Polish Praying Mantis Kungfu Association its sister organisation. </p>
	<p>Members of the society are a select and privileged group and are bound by the principles of traditional Chinese martial arts (righteousness, loyalty, respect and diligence). </p>
